Popping Reds on Film

New Blog Post: Popping reds with Kodak Ultramax 400 #believeinfilm #filmisnotdead

Having shot a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 a couple of weeks ago with my Leica M6, having looked at the scans in more detail, I’m super happy with the results.

What really struck me was the way Ultramax makes the reds really pop, almost Ektar-esque! I purposely shot it over exposed (ISO320) and made sure I metered for the shadows.

It’s the first colour negative film I’ve shot for a while, so was quite intrigued as to how the roll came out.

For sure it’s a film I’ll definitely buy and use again – especially it’s a great price for the results it provides.

I like cars, travel and film photography. Not always in that order!
