I Still Shoot Film!

I Still Shoot Film!

It’s been a while and it doesn’t happen very often, but I still shoot film!

To be honest, my beautiful Leica M6 is in of a good CLA & repair. I have a light leak on some images (taken at higher shutter speeds normally) which I believe could be shutter capping which is where the shutter curtains fails to retract correctly… of course until I get it away for repair I won’t know for certain.

At slower shutter speeds it appears as if the camera functions without issue – so for the time being, I’ve been using it where I can at low shutter speeds.

Each time I shoot with the camera and see the results it reminds me just how much I love shooting with it and with film. I do have a preference for colour negative film and feel this is more suitable for summer days, however the last roll I shot has been shot under various conditions and I’m keen to try more of this over the winter months.

For sure, this last roll has lit the fire under me to get out and shoot more with it!

Here’s a few images from the last roll. All shot on the Leica M6 & Summicron 40mm f2 on Kodak Portra 400.
